Travel & Stay

Stay

We will be staying at Hotel Es Port in the beautiful area of Port de Sóller. The hotel is based in an old fortified mansion from the 17th century, located at the heart of the Port de Sóller which lies at the Tramuntana mountain’s range, declared of as global heritage by Unesco.

It would be lovely if you joined us there or around the area, as both the drinks the night before and the day after will be in and around the Sóller/Port de Sóller/ Deia areas (TBC).

We have made a list of places we’d recommend, have a browse and let us know if you book anywhere!

Holiday Rentals

Mallorca offers a huge variety of accommodation options, and has countless pockets of magic all over the island, so of course if you have a favourite spot, feel free to stay wherever will suit you the most.

If you are flying in and out for the weekend you might prefer to stay in Palma, as well as being so close to the airport, it is incredibly beautiful and has so many amazing restaurants, bars, shops, markets and amazing hotels.

Majorca is one of the most well connected and popular islands in Europe, with multiple airline flying everyday from all over the UK, including Glasgow, Manchester, Leeds Bradford, and London airports.

Palma is the island’s airport, it’s only a few miles from central Palma and 30k to Sóller.

Cars/ Taxis

If you’d be into renting a car, there’s a whole host of rental companies based out of the airport, we’ve had she really good deals in the past. It takes 25 minutes to drive to Sóller from Palma on the MA-11, otherwise known as the Carretera de Palma al Puerto de Sóller.

If you are staying in or around Palma you shouldn’t need a car, as it is served by public transport and it’s lovely to walk around. Majorca also has Uber should you need a taxi.

Public Transport

Take a ride on the beautifully restored Sóller train, which offers a direct, and spectacular, mountain route from Palma to Sóller in an antique train. The journey takes around an hour, and a return ticket will set you back €11 or so.

Other

Port de Sóller is the departure point for the ferry to Sa Calobra, one of Mallorca’s most spectacular natural attractions.

Wedding Day Transport

We will be organising mini buses to and from the wedding venue from a couple of locations, depending on where the majority of guests stay.
